A waterproof marker on a slightly vinegar-digested shell. And the picture varnished with a butter.

Unfortunately, I have no photo of my best Easter Egg ever done. In 1999 (the 30. Anniversary of Apollo 11 mission to the moon) I did the special egg for my brother who was an astronomy student. It is metallic silvery and has a form of - no, not the NASA Apollo LEM but the Soviet Sputnik 1 satellite - with a round porthole with my brother's photo inside :)

He was so amazed that he didn't eat the egg but was keeping it on a shelf until it started to stink so heavily that he could stand it no more! :D
